Get Spooked at Haunt, The New Halloween-Themed Pop-Up Bar From the Team Behind Townsend & Oloroso
Celebrate the Halloween season and get a creepy, creative cocktail at Haunt, the newest month-long Halloween pop-up bar from the teams behind Townsend and Oloroso.
Located on the second floor of Midtown Village's newest spot, The Pearl Tavern (formerly The Irish Pub), Haunt is the newest project from Tod Wentz (chef and owner of Townsend, A Mano, and Oloroso) and Alison Hangen (an Oloroso alum and the general manager of The Pearl Tavern, who also runs Arts in the Industry). As you ascend the stairs, you'll discover spooky spot is decorated with skulls, skeletons, and more — it even features a mural from local artist Bill Strobel of Chalk Art Philadelphia, as well as glassware, art, and jewelry from local artists like Chris Nasiri, Jana Schreer, Wrong World Ceramics, and Trinket Witch Jewelry.
Stop at the bewitched bar and order one of Hangen's unique cocktails, which include selections like Corpse Reviver Number U (Crystal Head vodka, sake, green apple syrup, lemon, and absinthe rinse), the Kiss of Death (Jim Beam Black, pumpkin stout reduction, and spicy bitters), or the Black Cat (Tito’s vodka, fino sherry, and black olive). All cocktails will cost $13.
“Haunt is the first in a series of fun and creative pop ups on the second-floor at The Pearl Tavern,” said Wentz, so it looks like as the season continues past Halloween, you'll want to keep watching this space.
The spot will feature plenty of themed nights, including a Game of Thrones-themed White Walker party presented by Ommegang, late night happy hours, pumpkin carving contests, and even a three day Wands & Whiskey weekend, which expands the event created by Hangen & Arts in the Industry.
Haunt is open from 5 PM - 2 AM every day, and will offer delicious and delightful scares and spooks until November 3 atop the Pearl Tavern, which is located at 1123 Walnut Street.
