Suits & Sazeracs Returns for Second Year to Benefit Career Wardrobe, February 24

Suits & Sazeracs, the New Orleans-style charitable cocktail competition hosted by Henry A. Davidsen is returning to the Hotel Palomar’s newly renovated 25th-floor Burnham Ballroom, on Monday, February 24 from 6-9pm.

At this NOLA-style event benefiting Career Wardrobe, you’ll be able to sample unique Sazerac-inspired cocktails crafted by eight of Philadelphia’s top bartenders utilizing Bluebird Distilling’s Straight Rye Whiskey

This year’s stellar bartender lineup includes:
Square 1682 - Christian Diaz
Prohibition Taproom - Nicole Testa
Standard Tap - Kelly Derrig
Red Owl Tavern - RJ Arnold
Bud & Marilyn’s - Kevin Forge
Roy Pitz Barrel House - Micah Edwards
Destination Dogs - Chris Zingler
Cook & Shaker - Tom Kwiatkowski

Tickets are $65 per person and include access to the event, samples of sazeracs, live jazz music, and New Orleans-inspired hors d’oeuvres including cajun-spiced waffle fries, shrimp po’boy sliders, New Orleans-style beignets, and more courtesy of Square 1682’s Executive Chef Mackenson Horebe.

Support your favorite bartender and cocktail by voting for “People’s Choice” of best Sazerac, while notable judges, including former Eagles player Fred Barnett, Bluebird Distilling’s Founder and Master Distiller Jared Adkins, and Henry A. Davidsen’s Founder and President Brian Lipstein; will honor one bartender with the Judge’s Choice Award.

“We’re thrilled to bring back Suits & Sazeracs – our popular cocktail competition and fundraiser benefitting Career Wardrobe,” said Lipstein. “We’re expanding the fundraiser so that we can not only provide high quality attire to those in need but much needed financial support, all while bringing Philadelphians together for a cocktail for a cause!”

Make sure to deck yourself out in your finest New Orleans threads since attendees will be in the running to win “Men’s Best Dressed” and “Women’s Best Dressed,” judged by The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Fashion & Lifestyle Columnist, Elizabeth Wellington, and Philadelphia-based fashion insider and influencer Brian Chan. Winners receive gift certificates worth $300.

Suits and Sazeracs will officially kick-off Henry A. Davidsen’s Suit Drive Challenge to support local nonprofit Career Wardrobe’s mission of providing a professional wardrobe to unemployed and low-income Philadelphians seeking employment. The Suit Drive Challenge will carry on through the middle of April and give Philadelphians the chance to donate gently-used suits, ties, jackets, shirts, pants, belts, and shoes in support of local unemployed men and women.
