Halloween Events In Philadelphia

The only time of the year where it is acceptable to dress up in costume and rummage the streets for candy (without looking insane) is finally upon us. So you spent hours and hours constructing the perfect Halloween costume, and have no place to boast the fruits of your labor? You’re in luck, for Philadelphia is in no short supply of amazing Halloween costume parties and celebrations. Here is a giant list of the best places in Philly to celebrate Halloween this weekend!  

 


Banana Clips Halloween Party:

October 29th from 10pm to 3:30 am at The Arena located in South Philly at the corner of Ritner and Swanson. South Philly dance party with special guest Drop the Lime. Featuring Sammy Slice and Cool Hand Luke with Luis Angel Cancel. Tickets are $10 on presale at http://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/17153 or $15 day of. There will be three full bars with beer and spirits, but event is also BYOB (no glass bottles or kegs, maximum of 6beers allowed in per person). 

 


McFadden’s Ballpark:

October 29th - “Phriday Night Phever Halloween“. $35.00 pre-sale ticket that includes 3 hour open bar from 9pm to 12am. Buffet and giveaways, $3 Bacardi bombs, and $3 SoCo and Lime shots. Costume contest with $1,000 in giveaways.

Indyhalloween 4.0 @ Tattooed Mom
October 29th, 2010, 8pm

The annual bash hits Tattooed Mom this Friday, October 29th. You can expect all the usual festivities. A costume contest, drink specials, and as always, cheap delicious eats thanks to the kind folks at T-Moms. Come hungry, geeks. Those pierogis are delicious and irresistible.

The party starts at 8pm, and costumes will be judged at 9:30pm.


Manayunk Brewery:

October 30th @ 8pm

3rd Annual “Ghosts and Goblins Halloween Party“. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door (if available). First place costume wins $500 and is voted on by the crowd. There will be donations to the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society. Ticks can be found athttp://ghostsgoblins.eventbrite.com/
 


Tavern on Broad:

October 30th at 8pm. “Vampires + Vixens” Halloween party. $10. Capacity for 1,000+ people. Donations to PAWS.

Sumo Lounge:

October 30th Halloween Party,  $35 cover with open bar from 10-11pm with $500 prize for first place costume. Party goes till 2am. Located at 1224 Chestnut St.

Halloween Party at 9pm. Costume contest, drink specials, and music. 
 


The Roxxy & Corono:

October 30th.

“Seven deadly sins” Halloween costume party. $3 Coronas all night. $500 first place prize. Located at 929 North Deleware Ave. 

 



The Bayou & Cactus Cantina:

Joint Halloween party on October 30th with costumed karaoke. No cover and specials all night. $1000 in cash prizes. $3 vodka and Redbulls from 10-12. $2.50 miller lite all night.

Kildare’s Irish Pub (Manayunk):

October 30th Kildare’s “Haunted Pub Weekend” $2,000 first place costume prize.
 


Lucy’s Hat Shop:

October 30th

“Halloween Monster Bash” $20 gets you an open bar from 9 to 11pm at Lucy's. All you need to do is book it 24 hours in advance. 
 


McFadden’s Ballpark:

October 30th SNL Halloween party with live music from Barclay M.O. Party starts at 9pm with $4 Stoli, Bacardi, and Three Olive cocktails; $5 Soco Shots and $3 domestic bottles and drafts. With a most unique costume contest with $250 cash prize. 
 


McFadden’s 3rd St.:

October 30th

“Night of the Killer Costumes“ $2,000 in prizes. Win an iPad, big screen tv, Eagles Tickets, Phillies gear and more. Categories include; sexiest, most creative, best couple, funniest, best overall. $3 Coors Lights and $4 Pinnacle Vodka drinks. 
 


O’Neals Pub:

October 30th

“Walk of the dead” Dosequis Promo. $3.50 Dos Equis amber and lager all day. With prizes and giveaways. 
 


The Plough and the Stars:

Halloween @ the Plough. October 30th 10pm-2am no cover Friday and Saturday with DJ’s playing all night. Also prizes, giveaways, drink and food specials all weekend. 
 


Positano Coast:

Late night happy hours from 9pm until close on Friday and Saturday the 29th and 30th. All day happy hour Sunday the 31st. Costumes welcome but are not necessary. 
 


The Sidecar Bar:

October 30th Five year anniversary Halloween party. Starting at 8pm. Live music and costume party. 

 


Tir na Nog:

October 30th Halloween Bash. $1 shot of the day, $2 domestic drafts, $ domestic bottles, $ house wines, $5 mixed drinks starting at 10pm. 
 


Triumph Brewing Company:

Olde City: October 30th from 8pm-2am. “Peace, Love, and Hoppiness Halloween Extravaganza.” 1960’s themed costume Halloween celebration featuring live music from New York jam band Turbine. 
 


 

Philadelphia Beer Experience

October 30th 11:30am-4:30pm; This educational pub crawl series goes back to Center City for a Special Halloween Edition.  Passes include beer samples at all four locations (Monk’s, Nodding Head, McGillin’s, and Jose Pistolas), a seasonal Rolling Barrel tee shirt, plus a guided tour and other surprises along the way.  Warm clothes and comfortable shoes are highly encouraged.  $35 per person.


Tritone:

Sunday the 31st Halloween party w/live music. 
 


Valanni:

October 31st at 10pm. “Dragula’s Ball” costume party with $175 for first place and $75 for second place, with music by DJ Bizz. 
 


McGillin’s Olde Ale House:

October 31st All day event starting with $3 Bloody Mary’s from 11am-3pm. At 5pm $6 Yuengling Lager pitchers, and at 9pm a “Scary-aoke” costume karaoke contest with prizes.
