Bridget Foy's, on South Street, has something special for Cinco de Mayo: live tango and fire dance music. Astral Artists musicians, accordionist Lidia Kaminska and clarinetist Benito Meza, will be playing Piazzola tangos and De Falla's Fire Dance.

Don't balk at the word "accordion", think more the sexy French kind than polka jam. Fire Dance is an edgy classical style piece, and the two will perform in the more intimate, private rooms, so getting tickets in advance is a good idea.

Bridget Foy's will be serving traditional Mexican food like tuna ceviche, chicken taquitos, and camarrones in salsa macha. Drink specials include $2 margaritas and $15 pitchers.

Verdad Restaurant and Tequila Bar will be serving $5 margaritas, as well as fish tacos, pork, and Kobe beef, indoors or on its patio.

Cavanaugh's in University City will be serving $4.50 Guinness pints and $1.50 Natty Light pints, as well a burger and wing specials.
