AgileCat Gets a Cocktail for Charity
PR Company AgileCat is celebrating their 10th anniversary by partnering with Rouge to offer a "for charity" cocktail.
The aptly-named Agile Cat is a spicy mix of reposado tequila that's been infused for 6 months with aji-amarillo peppers, fresh orange juice, mango-infused calpico water and lime. A portion of the proceeds from this cocktail will go to the June 4th Philadelphia Burger Brawl, a charity benefit for Meredith Elementary School to get a new computer lab.
The Philadelphia Burger Brawl will be a gathering of all the top burger-purveyors in the city under one roof. For $100, you get to eat all the burgers you can handle from great restaurants such as: Barbuzzo, Adsum Restaurant, London Grill, Midatlantic, R2L, Table 31, Butcher & Singer, Pub & Kitchen, Good Dog, North Third, Alfa, Royal Tavern, Ladder 15, P.Y.T., Paesano’s, Rouge and their sister restaurant 500?.
If you don't have the $100 to swing, you should definitely spare the $12 for this bad boy. Served in a martini glass, the first sip will certainly shock you with the heat from the aji-amarillo. Once you adjust to the heat, you'll find that on each return the sips will cool you down, leaving just enough heat in the finish. It may be a tad spicy for those who aren't used to spicy dishes, but the sweetness of the fresh orange juice works nicely to find a happy middle-ground. I'm a big fan of the "try everything twice" mentality, and this is a cocktail where that logic shines.
The Agile Cat will be served right up to June 4th on their Spring Cocktail menu, so you have until then to drink for a great cause.
