Bike Towards the Cure was started with the mission of raising money and awareness for cancer research. In January, founder Phil Bayliss had his thyroid removed due to the presence of cancerous tumors. This along with other cases of cancer in his family inspired him to start Bike Towards the Cure. This summer he and longtime friend, Jon Triantafyllou, will be cycling cross-country from San Diego, CA to New Jersey to raise money and awareness for cancer research. We are tired of watching cancer destroy the lives of the ones we love, so we are fighting back and doing something about it! Bike Towards the Cure's first fundraising event is an open bar this Thursday night from 8-10 PM at Castle Roxx Cafe and Bar in Manayunk. The open bar costs $25, with $10 going directly to our charity! Please come out and join us and help support this worthy cause!
