Our friends over at Foobooz just broke the news that Ortlieb's Jazzhaus seems to have been taken over by new management and will (hopefully) be opening in the near future.  This is great news for Philadelphia's Jazz Community as Ortliebs stood for decades as a cultural and musical institution for the region.

Ortlieb's is named after the now defunct Ortlieb's Brewery, and for a time served as the bar that employees would hang out in after their shifts.  We are hoping that when the bar reopens under new management, it will continue serving great local craft drafts and showcasing some of the best musicians Philadelphia has to offer!
