Limited Edition Sierra Nevada Brew at The Pour House in Westmont, NJ, March 8
How do you feel about a cheesesteak-flavored beer? Whether you're in favor or against, you won’t get to try one, not this week, anyway. However, because of Medford, NJ-native Kirk LaVecchia’s desire to try out that “interesting concoction, you will get a chance to sip an exclusive Sierra Nevada brew called Alternate Ending.
Homebrewer LaVecchia won an “Ask the Experts” session at Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp last November with his “how would you create a cheesesteak-flavored beer” question, and gained the chance to assist in brewing a special batch at the Sierra Nevada brewery in Chico, California.
The limited edition beer, created in collaboration with other winners from the American Homebrewing Association, used experimental hops and is brewed in the German alt bier style. The interesting 6.2% ABV result is being poured only one place in the Northeast – The Pour House, in Westmont, NJ – and the tapping is set for this Thursday, March 8.
So if you’d like a sip of the brew that could have been cheesesteak-flavored but wasn’t, cross head over the bridge and join LaVecchia (who in real life runs a “confidence and relationship building website”) for an Alternate Ending.
