Philly Beer Week: Brews, Blues & BBQ, June 9
One of the highlights of Philly Beer Week – from a music and food lover’s perspective - is the summer installment of Blues, Brews & BBQ. Held on Saturday, June 9 in the Starlight Ballroom on Ninth Street just south of Spring Garden, this festival brings together over 40 breweries from around the world and some of the best pitmasters in Philadelphia for a food and drink jubilee.
Pick up a $35 ticket to the afternoon (1–4:30 PM) or evening (5–8:30 PM) session for all you can drink goodness. Sample more than 100 different sips, including refreshing wheats like Old Forge Endless Summer, flavorful lagers like Dogfish Head My Antonia, strong bombs like Stone Arrogant Bastard and a slew of crisp ciders (gluten-free ‘cue-heads, this is a fest for you).
Pad your liquid diet with plenty of smoky meat from The Smoke Truck, El Camino Real, Fat Jack’s BBQ and more, available in platters at discounted prices. Throughout the day, live blues greats will play on stages, and there will be a large selection of t-shirts, mugs and other cool merchandise for sale. Don’t let the last weekend of PBW pass you by unscathed.
