Dock Street Rare Bottle Release Party, May 6

Dock Street Rare Bottle Release Party, May 6

Dock Street Brewing Co. is the city’s oldest operating microbrewery, serving thirsty Philadelphians on the corner of 50th and Baltimore Avenue in Cedar Park since 1985, and on Sunday, May 6 they’re hosting their biggest and rarest bottle release ever. Over the past year, brewmaster Scott Morrison and team have brewed a series of unique one-offs, including a series of Abbey-style ales, and a dozen cases of each have been aging in their cellars in anticipation of this epic event.

Brewpub doors will be open from noon–4 PM, during which time you can check out the array of 750-ml. naturally carbonated bottles available for purchase (prices range from $12–$19). While you peruse the rare bombers, sample some of the special offerings on tap, including the entire Abbey series (single, dubbel, tripel, quad; $5.50 per pour) and the Flemish Red Sour Ale (one sixel only; $7.50). During the party, you’ll also be able to nosh on the pub’s famous pizza by the slice ($2.50 each) while enjoying live music.

The full list of big bottle brews available for purchase is below, so you can start planning your picks now. See you in West Phily.

Flemish Red Sour Ale Aged in Cabernet Sauvignon Barrels (6.5% ABV; $19)
Belgian Black IPA Brewed with rye grain (8% ABV; $13)
