Everyone knows the Dude is a cool guy, so it should come as no surprise that he hates cancer. In fact, he might have said, “This cancer will not stand, man.” The Dude Hates Cancer raises funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with a campaign that combines everything awesome about bowling, and is back for the seventh year running. Last year, $83,000 was raised in Philly, and this year’s goal is a cool $100k.

A kick-off party goes down at Triumph Old City on Thursday, May 10, during which teams can register to take part in the bowling tournament to be held at North Bowl on Saturday, September 15. In the lead up to the grand finale event at The Big Lebowski-themed alley in NoLibs, teams will compete to raise money for the cause.

When you register to participate (teams can made up of be 6–10 people), you’ll receive tools to help your efforts, such as a personal fundraising website, books of raffle tickets and a consultation with fundraising pros. The Triumph event is from 6–9 PM and is pay as you go. White Russian, anyone?
