Philly Beer Week is coming soon, and while the 10-day fest is one of our favorite times of year, it definitely weighs heavily on the stomach (pun intended). Dock Street invites you to run off the beer-soaked days of the week past at their annual 5k race. Held on Sunday, June 10, the run traces a path through University City, ending back at the brewpub where a banging music fest will be in full effect, along with pizza and yes, more beer.

You can sign up for the Philly Beer Run online here ($35), but on Thursday, May 10, you can head to Philadelphia Runner (1601 Sansom St.) for a special on-site registration happy hour with free beer for all registrants.

A portion of the proceeds from the event benefits Cedar Park Neighbors Scholarship, so the race is not only good for your health, it helps others in need. Head over to the Rittenhouse sneaker shop on Thursday from 5–7 PM to get in on the beer-filled fun.
