King of Prussia Beerfest Royale, October 5-6

It’s Oktoberfest season, so the beer fests just keep on coming! One don’t-miss event is the King of Prussia Beerfest Royale, because a) the name is tons of fun to say and b) it’s the largest outdoor festival of the season in the Philadelphia suburbs. On Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6, you can enjoy two beer tents full of local and German craft brew, a midway outdoor plaza with tasty food, live music and other fun diversions.

Regional breweries that will be pouring include Philadelphia Brewing Co., Victory, Lancaster Brewing, Ommegang, Great Lakes, Dogfish Head, Dock Street, Yards, Weyerbacher, Sly Fox and more. Add to that lineup a set of Bavarian beer makers like Bitburger, Spaten, Hacker-Pschorr, Warsteiner and others, and your beery weekend will be made.

Tickets are available (here) for the Friday night “preview” session for $85 (5:30–9 PM), or for one of two Saturday sessions for $45 each (12:30–4 PM or 5–8:30 PM). Use the promo code DRINKPHILLY to get $5 off each ticket (or $10 off when you buy six tickets or more).  When at the festival, you’ll also have the chance to enter the raffle to win a six-day trip for two to Germany, fully paid for. So make plans to head to KOP — you could end up in Munich, and you’ll have fun no matter what.
