Revolution House Launches Late Night Happy Hour
If you’ve only considered the Old City bar scene for weekend fun (or have avoided it for weekend sanity), here’s a new time and reason to head to Second and Market. From 11 PM–1 AM, Monday–Wednesday, bi-level tavern Revolution House offers a late night happy hour, complete with a relatively large food menu and a series of rotating drink specials.
Spend a sultry summer eve on the second floor patio or at one of the two roomy bars inside and enjoy select $3 bottles, $4 drafts and $6 bartender’s choice cocktails. Satisfy the late night munchies with one of the true Neapolitan pizzas, cooked in 90 seconds in the huge white marble brick oven — choices range from the standard marinara or margherita to newer variations like the mixed mushroom with fontina cheese or a pie topped with prosciutto and arugula ($10–$17).
American metlting-pot bites include the Rev Dog, a quarter-pound beef frankfurter topped with guacamole, cheddar, caramelized onions and peppers, served with fries, Irish nachos (sweet potatoes are added to the mix), BBQ wings, tzatziki kabobs and a caesar salad ($8–$10). There are always a good selection of craft brews on the many taps to wash it all down. A new way to start your week off right.
