If you are a fan of smoky brews and BBQ, act fast — tickets are now on sale for Yards Brewing Co.’s annual Smoke ‘Em if Yous Got ‘Em, and the block party sells out every year. On Sunday, September 23, Tom Kehoe and the Yards crew will present 25–30 of the best smoked beers from around the world (plus a few others that are just faves).

To match the drinks, a BBQ competition will go down, with Philly regulars Percy Street BBQ and The Smoke Truck putting their tried and tested smoky meat recipes up against a set of amateur competitors to a soundtrack of live music. The obvious winner is you, because a $50 ticket brings you all you can eat and drink from 11 AM–4 PM.

Part indoor and part outdoor, the festival takes place rain or shine at the Yards brewhouse on Delaware Avenue, “because BBQ and beer are perfect for every type of weather.” So say the organizers, and we agree.
