Xfinity Live Hosts First Annual Xtoberfest, September 29
Update: Get tickets for 2013 Xtoberfest here.
It’s Oktoberfest season, and one of the biggest local celebrations of Bavarian beer will happen on Saturday, September 29, when Xfinity Live hosts the first annual Xtoberfest. The South Philly entertainment complex will devote the day to German brew, food and fun during the festival, presented by longtime Philly organizers Rolling Barrel Events.
What will you find when you go? More than 45 beers will be offered in tasting pours, plus you’ll have access to the full draft list at Victory Beer Hall. Oktoberfest-style food will be served and live music and DJs will play outdoors.
There will be plenty of entertainment, too: a mechanical bull, kielbasa and pretzel eating contests, a barrel rolling tournament, a stein-holding contest, body painting and a live mural painting exhibition, plus a giant Jenga and Connect Four to play with.
Three levels of tickets are available for the all-day fest — use the special promo code DRINKPHILLY to get 10% off each one. General admission runs $30 per person, and includes a custom beer stein, access from 2–7 PM and a ticket to the official afterparty with Screaming Broccoli.
“X-Treme” VIP tickets are $40, and let you stay for the beer and food tastings an extra hour, through 8 PM, access to a second floor VIP area and tickets to taste some exclusive “xtreme” beers and food pairings. You can also spring for the Table Service ticket, which, at $60 per person, gets you a private reserved table with your own “beer wench” to serve you throughout the day.
Get your tickets here before they sell out, and remember to use promo code DRINKPHILLY for 10% off.
