Bierstube Lobstoberfest, September 13-15
Oktoberfest is the oldest and biggest beer festival in the world, and it is officially celebrated in Germany this year from September 21–October 6. However, this isn’t Germany, so we’re allowed some leeway in our celebrations. Old City’s Bierstube is full advantage of that American flexibility and kicking off festivities with a Lobstoberfest weekend.
From Friday–Sunday, September 13–15, the German pub will offer platters of 1¼-lb. fresh Maine lobsters with a side of Jersey corn for just $14.99. To go along with the seafood, several Oktoberfest beers will be available. Look for Märzen-style brews from Ayinger, Spaten, Hacker-Pschorr, Paulaner Brauhaus, Samuel Adams, Sly Fox and Spring House. Pumpkin beers will also be flowing.
The outdoor sidewalk cafe will be decorated in traditional German style or the celebration, creating the perfect atmosphere for some great lobster eating. Bring on the fest!
