Black Friday Drink Specials and Events in Philadelphia

After we give thanks on our all-American Thanksgiving holiday, we do what Americans do best: shop! On Black Friday, retail stores all over the region will be offering sales to kick off the Christmas shopping season, and several bars are getting into the swing of things with specials and events. Check out where to catch a break as you scour the stores for gifts and deals.

Adobe Cafe: Say DRINK PHILLY to get $3 drafts all day.

Bierstube: "May the Schwartz Be With You" featuring $3.49 Schwartzbier until 7 PM.

Bottle Bar East: Black Friday Blackout with black beer sampling all day including Founders Breakfast Stout, Allagash Black and more. Stocking stuffer raffle giveaways giveaways all night.

Doobies: All black draft beers (stouts, porters, IPAs, etc.) featured at happy hour price (5 PM–midnight).

City Tap House: Into the Black celebration with over 25 special dark beers; PAYG or $35 tasting package with keepsake glass and 10 drink tokens (RSVP via email to jmcgarvey@publichouseusa.com; 2 PM).

Fado Irish Pub: Guinness Mustachio Bashio for Movember with mashed potato eating contest, silent auction and “pour your own pint” photo promo (5–9 PM).

Field House: $4 Sly Fox O’Reilly Stout and Yards Brawlers drafts.

The Grape Room: Troegs Dead Reckoning Porter on special for $4 per pint.

Grey Lodge Pub: Oskar (Blues) the Grouch Night — possibly the world’s first garbage can focused beer event (6–9 PM).

The Industry: Open at 4 PM with happy hour until 7 PM ($1 off all drinks).

The Institute: Black Friday Brunch Frenzy — spend $12 or more and a fglass of Troegs Mad Elf or  Brew Works Rude Elf is on the house.

Kildare's Irish Pub:
Half price gift cards available for purchase from 7 AM–8 PM.

Kraftwork: Open at 10:30 AM for Funky Black Friday Brunch with special lineup of “funkiest black beers available in Pennsylvania” such as Nebraska Black Betty, Brooklyn Black Chocolate, Mikkeller Black Hole, Struise Black Albert and more.

London Grill: $4 Palm drafts; pumpkin beer and cider flights; local Pennsylvania wine on tap.

M Restaurant: $100 gift cards for $75 (also available online on Cyber Monday).

Panorama: $10 per glass Barolo Black Friday Blowout; 2004 Marchesei de Barolo “Cannubi” Barolo (normally would be $40 per glass; noon–midnight).

Paddy Whacks: Gift card sale: free $10 with every $25 purchased.

Resurrection Ale House:
Slow & Steady Black Friday Brunch from 11 AM–3 PM with lineup of low ABV beers on draft. Also the launch of the Children's Pajama and Book Drive — bring in new and unwrapped PJs and new books through December 17.

Sidecar Bar and Grille: Open at 10:30 AM for Blackout and Funky Black Friday Brunch with special lineup of “funkiest black beers available in Pennsylvania” such as Bell’s Black Note, Lefthand Black Jack, Bear Republic Big Black Bear, Allagash Black (Bourbon) and more.

SoWe Bar & Kitchen: Happy hour food all day (5 PM–1 AM) and happy hour drink specials from 5–7 PM and 11 PM–1 AM.

Square Peg:
Last day to get Thanksgiving poutine; special $9.50 Pumpkin Poutini cocktail available through end of November.

Tequilas: Extended happy hour from 2–6:30 PM.

Triumph Brewing Company: Happy hour 5–7 PM with half-off all alcohol and a free show of The Whiskeyhickon Boys at 10 PM.
