If you’re a beer lover, you know what December means — Troegs Mad Elf! At a special event at Revolution House in Old City, you’ll get a chance to try the robust Christmas ale a whole new way. The Elf will be combined half-and-half with Troegs summer special, Dreamweaver Wheat, creating a whole new brew to be henceforth known as Mad Dreams.

Sounds pretty appealing, on many levels. The party takes place on Friday, December 14 from 7–9:30 PM, and with a $5 cover you’ll get one free drink ticket and one free raffle ticket. After that, Mad Dreams will be offered for $4.50 a glass, Mad Elf (11% ABV) for $5 and you’ll also be able to score glasses of limited release Troegs Scratch #82, a Belgian Tripel, for $4.50 each.

Make sure you wear your craziest holiday sweater, because there will be an ugly sweater contest. Christmas movies like Scrooge and How the Grinch Stole Christmas will be playing all night on the heated deck. So you don’t go too “Mad,” take advantage of the food specials, too: $2 off all pizzas and $9 plates of firecracker shrimp or Tater Tots with fries.
