For the first of its monthly Brew & Chew beer pairing events, Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse will feature winter favorite Troegs Brewing Co. The Hershey, PA-based brewery is the maker of what is possibly the area’s most popular winter beer, Mad Elf, and also produces several other top-notch crafts. For this event, you'll get a chance to sample Hopback, Troegs Pale Ale, Java Head and Scratch 82, a Belgian Tripel brewed with honey (only one goblet of this extremely limited release will be available per person).

The fun goes down 7–9 PM on Wednesday, January 16. RSVP in advance at phillybrewandchew.com or email durkin@cavsrittenhouse.com, and just $25 will get you into the Rittenhouse sports bar for a two-hour, all-you-can-drink tasting of the four different Troegs beers, which will be complemented by four different food dishes.
