Last Call for Tickets to Marc Vetri's Star-Studded Great Chefs Event, Tues., June 10

It’s not too late to get tickets to Marc Vetri’s Great Chefs Event. The star-studded fundraiser for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and the Vetri Foundation for Children brings Top Chefs, Iron Chefs and the some of the food and drink world’s brightest and best to the Navy Yard for one amazing evening each June. This year it’s all going down on Tues., June 10 from 6 - 9 PM.

As in years past the lineup of celebrity chefs is nothing to scoff at. This year’s participants include everyone from locals like Joe Garces and Kevin Sbraga to Tom Colicchio and Michael Symon. Each chef will dazzle and delight the crowds with their signature culinary creations.

The open bar and beverage personalities on hand are rivaled only by the tremendous assemblage of talent on the Vetri-curated list of chefs. Confirmed for the drinkable portion of the evening are Carol Stoudt from Stoudt’s Brewing Company, Bill Covaleski and Ron Barchet from Victory Brewing Company, Tom Kehoe from Yards, and Tom Peters from Monk’s Cafe.

Expect beverages to include selections from Yards, Victory, The Lost Abbey, Sly Fox, Shawnee, Russian River, Evil Twin, Dockstreet, Deschutes, Brooklyn Brewery, and more and cocktails using spirits such as Tito’s Vodka, Bluecoat Gin, Campari, Aperol, Dad’s Hat Rye, Philadelphia Distilling Co, and more.

In addition to the awesome food and drinks, the Great Chefs Event will have live and silent auctions, both of which put some pretty amazing items up for bid. Examples include, dinner for six at Volver with Jose Garces and special guest sous chef, Marc Vetri; a hands-on cooking demo and dinner party for eight in-home with James Beard Award-winner Jeff Michaud; an in-home beer and cheese tasting with Emilio Mignucci of DiBruno Bros. and Steve Wildy of the Vetri Family; and dinner for two with Inquirer critic Craig LaBan at a restaurant he is reviewing.

What's more, tickets to the event’s after-party at Alla Spina, where Questlove from the Roots will be on the ones and the twos, and a gigantic, 200 lb. mortadella that Vetri lieutenant Brad Spence prepared in a fermenting tank at Victory Brewing Company will be unveiled. Get tickets here.
