Be The Bartender: How to Make the Perfect Caipirinha 7 Simple Steps

With FIFA World Cup action keeping all eyes on Brazil this summer, it’s no surprise that our collective conscious keeps drifting towards Caipirinhas. After all, the Cachaça-laden quaff is the tournament's host country’s official national cocktail.

For the uninitiated, Cachaça is Brazil’s homegrown rum-like spirit distilled from pure sugarcane. It’s often found in many Caribbean and other tropical drinks, but is perhaps best known as base spirit in the Caipirinha.

For an explanation on how to make a perfect Caipirinha, the Drink Nation tapped Hanh Nguyen from Cuba Libre, a Cuban- and Caribbean-inspired bar and restaurant with locations in Philadelphia, Atlantic City, NJ, Washington D.C and Orlando, FL.
