Yards Rolls Out Pynk; Pushes Back Cape of Good Hope Release
If you’ve spent the summer longing for and anticipating your first sip of Yards’ Cape of Good Hope, you’re probably going to be bummed about by the latest news coming out of the Delaware Avenue brewery.
This year’s release of the late-summer seasonal brew is being delayed. The heavily-hopped West Coast style Double IPA won’t begin shipping until September 1.
But there’s some good news to report.
In place of Cape of Good Hope, Yards is putting a big push behind Pynk, its pink-flushed, berry-laden seasonal effervescent ale that made the scene last year after nearly a decade on hiatus. The pleasantly pink quaff is made with 3,300 pounds of sour and sweet cherries and raspberries to produce a light-bodied brew that’s refreshingly tart and finishes dry.
For every case of Pynk that’s sold, Yards is donating $1 to breast cancer research and awareness. This year's recipient is The Tyanna Foundation.
