Uptown Beer Garden Returns with More Seating, Outdoor Grill
Beginning on Thursday, May 19, the Uptown Beer Garden will return to 1735 JFK Boulevard near Logan Circle for the summer.
This year’s beer garden will be the biggest and best yet, with additional seating, an expanded bar, and an outdoor grill manned by local chef Jonathan Petruce (formerly of Petruce et al.), who will serve a summertime menu of lobster rolls, beef skewers, grilled corn, and more.
Both of the space’s bars will get a lot bigger this year — 40 and 25 feet, respectively — and will offer signature cocktails like sangria, Dark & Stormys, Moscow Mules, and green tea whiskey sours. They’ll also offer several beers both on draft and in cans, including offerings from Neshaminy Creek, Ballast Point, Half Acre, and the spot’s very own Uptown IPA.
Though the beer garden will open officially on May 19, there will also be a grand opening party on Wednesday, May 25 from 5 - 7 PM that includes a preview of Center City Sips (which will begin its run at the garden on June 1) and complimentary food samples alongside discounted drinks. Otherwise, the spot will be open from 4 - 9 PM on Monday and Tuesday, 2 PM - 12 AM on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and closed for private events on the weekends.
Outdoor drinking season is officially starting, so be sure to make Uptown Beer Garden your new favorite after-work spot.
