The Bottle Shop to open in South Philly
The Bottle Shop, is more of a human rights advocate than it is a purveyor of fine beverages. They don’t believe that people should be subject to the harsh treatment of horrible and limited beer selections, and stand by this conviction by housing around 700 different kinds of brew in ten refrigerators, categorized by beer type. With such a giant beer selection, The Bottle Shop is a craft beer haven where people can come indulge themselves in any genre of beer they can think of.
With seating for around thirty people, the bottle shop also has an amazing variety of snacks including pretzels, hot dogs, gourmet popcorn and more. There is also a coffee and tea station to cover the other end of the beverage spectrum.
They will also offer great gift packages in two sizes that include craft beers and snacks for $65 and $120. They will also be supporting the local breweries by hosting monthly beer tastings and cheese pairings. Plans are in the works to also host events with East Passyunk’s “Second Saturdays.”
A venture between two Temple grads Michele Aquino and Gena Montebellow, the shop in South Philly was scheduled to open this past Saturday but has been delayed to some time within the next week or two. You can find this oasis at 1837 East Passyunk Ave, so if you are in the area keep on the lookout. Or even if it takes you two buses and a cab to get in the area, it’s sure to be worth it.
The grand opening will take place on October 30th, all day. There’s an HD television in the back to watch the game, there will be a beer tasting from Sly Fox from 2pm-4pm, and lots of other fun goodies!
