5/16: Victory Hosts Project Venus
In a world that is largely run by male brewers, you may be surprised to learn that the majority of beer was crafted by women thousands of years ago.
Megan Parisi (lead brewer of Cambridge Brewing), Laura Ulrich (Stone Brewing Co.), and Whitney Thompson (Victory Brewing Co.) are out to create a beer crafted entirely by women.
The beer is reported to be a Belgian Dubbel with notes of Orange and Saffron. If you're interested, you can buy tickets to taste the beer for the very first time at Victory Brewing Company.
The tasting will be on Monday, May 16th, from 6pm-9pm. Tickets are $35 per person.
Only one keg of the women-brewed beer is available in PA, and Victory Brewing Company has it. The first servings from that keg will be shared at this event.
With a ticket, you can hear from Whitney Thompson (one of the 3 women brewers who invented Project Venus), who will chat about what it is like for women in the world of brewing and how she became involved in the project.
In addition, you'll get to see two cooking demonstrations, as well as enjoy four beer/food pairing stations.
The West Chester Beer Ladies will be meeting up with some members of the Beer for Babes club from South Jersey!
