7/16: Good Food, Good Beer Event @ Head House
On 7/16, Slow Food Philadelphia will be hosting the 7th Annual Good Food, Good Beer, and the Rest Is History event!
For $25 in advance ($30 at the door), head to The Shambles (Head House market) at 2nd & Lombard St for a whole Pig Roast, desserts, and beer provided by Philadelphia Brewing Company, Earth Bread & Brewery, Victory, and Stoudt's.
Caterers this year include Feast Your Eyes and Healthy Bites, with desserts provided by BT Baking and the Restaurant School. The pigs for the roast are being locally sourced from Countrytime Farm. Beyond the deliciousness, you can see food demonstrations by DiBruno Cheese, Blue Corn Allianza, a pasta demo by Aliza Green, and Elizabeth Stoudt (baker and cheese maker).
This annual outdoor event is a joint fundraiser with proceeds being split between Slow Food Philadelphia and Farm to City, two organizations dedicated to provided local, clean, sustainable food.
General admission includes all you can eat food and beer. Children under 12 will be admitted with a parent for $15 (available only at the door). Proper ID is required by law since we are serving beer and anyone under 21 will be given a special wristband.
