What Should Philly's Signature Cocktail Be?
Wednesday was the last day to submit a drink recipe to the Foobooz/Philadelphia Magazine search for Philadelphia’s signature cocktail. There are a heap of great ideas already posted, including the Colt-45-based “Flash Mob,” the Always Sunny-inspired XXX Shine whiskey “Riot Punch” and a Limoncello spiked “Wooder Ice.”
The winner will be crowned on September 20 after a judging session at Cook, the new Rittenhouse collaborative kitchen-classroom from Audrey Claire Taichman (of Twenty Manning and Audrey Claire, just down the street). Philly’s best bartenders will mix, shake and stir, and 16 lucky attendees who snagged tickets to the rapidly-sold-out event will sip, savor and help pick the champion.
