Philadelphia Whiskey and Fine Spirits Festival, October 25
Want to spend an evening tasting over 200 different liquors while nibbling on hors d’oeuvres from Philly’s best restaurants? Your chance is coming soon, and it could include a behind-the-scene tour of Lincoln Financial Field.
The 2012 Philadelphia Whiskey and Fine Spirits Festival will take over the Linc on Thursday, October 25 from 6:30–9 PM. Your $90 advance ticket ($100 at the door) brings access to all kinds of fancy whiskey, bourbon, scotch, tequila, gin, rum and vodka. Drink Philly had a table at the event last year, and we can say from experience that the variety of drinks was almost overwhelming. In a very good way.
Along with Philadelphia Magazine, PA Fine Wine & Good Spirits is a presenting sponsor. This means the festival will include an on-site store, so you can pick up a bottle of any favorites you sample during the evening. Other diversions throughout the night include a Woodford Reserve Manhattan cocktail competition, a Sailor Jerry rum photo booth, a meet and greet with Fred Noe (Jim Beam’s great grandson) and a raffle to benefit SafeHome Philadelphia.
If you spring for the $150 VIP option, you’ll get in a whole hour and a half early at 5 PM, and be treated to a private tour of the facilities at the Linc. Your ticket also includes a gift card to PA Wine & Spirits stores. Tickets are likely to sell out, so head over now and reserve your spot.
