This is not a drill. The Pope is in the United States and will soon be in Center City, Philadelphia. Cars are being towed, porta-potties are in place, and bars and restaurants have announced Papal specials for those stuck within the city limits.

This accessible bar will feature plenty of Pope-themed beers all weekend long including Cape May #YOPO, DuClaw Sweet Baby Jesus and Mad Bishop, Victory St. Victorious, Southern Tier Unearthly, Two Roads Lil’ Heaven, Avery The Reverend, Russian River beers, and more. If you’d prefer some holy spirits, sip on one of three special Papal cocktails for just $8. Perch Pub will also feature a Day of Rest Happy Hour on Sunday from 8–10 PM with half-price all draft beers, $5 mixed well drinks, and $5 wines.
This Fairmount bar is hosting a special “Pope Up Beer Garden” starting on Thursday, September 24. Brews from Victory, Troegs, and New Belgium will be flowing.
If you’re looking for the most spiritual of all brews, hit up Monk’s Cafe on Saturday or Sunday for a tap takeover of Godly proportions. Monk’s will have 24 religious-themed brews on tap both days including Evil Twin Even More Jesus, Avery The Beast, Lost Abbey 10 Commandments, Russian River Redemption, Philadelphia Brewing Holy Wooder, and many more.
Grab $5 Heaven and Helles Vatican Citywide Specials, a shot of Heaven Hill Bourbon and a can of Sly Fox Helles Golden Lager, Wednesday through Saturday at this Callowhill bar.
