Guest Chefs, New Menus, and Prizes Await at Morgan's Pier During Fall Fest

Just because summer is fading fast in the rearview mirror doesn’t mean all of Philly’s great outdoor bars are packing up for the season. With Oktoberfest, Halloween, and plenty more beautiful days left to enjoy this fall, maany of your favorite summertime haunts will be celebrating accordingly. Morgan’s Pier is embracing the season wholeheartedly by bringing in guest chefs, revamping the menu to feature seasonal dishes and drinks, setting up heat lamps to keep things toasty, and hosting an abundance of fall fun in the form of cornhole competitions, pumpkin carving, and more. Fall Fest at Morgan’s Pier is already underway and ends with a Halloween blowout bash.

Every weekend in October, Morgan’s Pier will welcome a new guest chef to the kitchen. Chefs will prepare an exclusive chef’s board for guests incorporating seasonal ingredients they would bring to an autumnal barbeque. Tickets can be purchased in advance for these exclusive meals for $30 each. All guest chef meals are first come, first served. Guest chefs include Christopher Kearse of Will BYOB, Jeremy Nolen of Brauhaus Schmitz and Whetstone Tavern, and Jason Cichonski of Ela, The Gaslight, and 1100 Social.

If you’re looking for more fall flavors, look to the new drink menu which now features hot drinks to keep you warm and plenty of festive brews from both near and far. Sip on a Hot Toddy while you carve a pumpkin or a Victory Festbier while you play some cornhole. Cornhole tournaments take place every Wednesday, and pumpkin carving is available from 11 AM to 5 PM on the weekends. Sign-ups for cornhole start at 7:30 PM on Wednesdays, and it’s free to enter. Prizes will be awarded weekly, and a grand prize will be awarded at the end of the month.

All of these great events lead up to the fantastic Halloween end of season bash. Saturday, October 31, will be the last day of the 2015 season for Morgan’s Pier, and they’ll being going out with a bang. A $30 cover with costume or $40 cover without costume gets you through the door and to the open bar. Since the doors will be closing for the season after the party, guests are invited to drink the bar dry. Halloween guests can also enter the costume contest for a chance to win $500. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each of the following categories: "R-Rated", "Themed Group", and "Best Overall". Stay tuned for more Halloween details, but be sure mark this on your calendar now and head to Morgan’s Pier to enjoy everything these wonderful fall days have to offer.

Morgan's Pier is open Wednesday through Friday at 4 PM and on Saturday and Sunday at 11 AM.
