Remember back when we told you about Dock Street Brewery’s Wu-Tang Clan inspired beer? Well, after six months of aging, Dock Street is ready to share.

Just to give you a quick refresher, the beer, aptly named Dock Street Beer Ain’t Nothing To Funk With, is a Golden Saison that has been hanging out in Chaddsford Winery red wine barrels. In addition to that, the beer has been fermenting with two in-house strains of Brettanomyces, which have been serenaded, 24/7, by the sweet beats and divine rhymes of the Wu-Tang Clan.

By way of explanation for this what some might call outlandish experiment, Dock Street offered the following: “We're all a product of our environment; we react consciously and subconsciously to countless stimuli on the regular. There's the obvious: temperature, light exposure, atmosphere; and the more complicated: rhythm, tempo, volume, etc. Beer is no different. To test this theory, we didn't funk around.”

The release will take place on Wednesday, November 4 at 5 PM at the brewpub. The beer will both be on tap and in 12-ounce bottles for the road. Bottles are limited to two per person, but feel free to hang out as the beer flows, as DJ Matthew Law will be spinning Wu-Tang inspired beats from 6-9 PM, followed by a screening of Shaolin and the Wu Tang, the film behind the Clan’s name.
