Where to Ring in 2016 in Philadelphia

Where to Ring in 2016 in Philadelphia

After the presents have been unwrapped, the feasts have been had, and the eggnog has been drunk, it’s time to reflect on the year that will soon come to a close. We hope you enjoyed 2015 as much as we have. But let’s not get too sentimental here. It’s time to celebrate with some cocktails and champagne!

Don your best masquerade attire and join us at the Independence Seaport Museum on New Year’s Eve for a night of masked revelry. Tickets include a buffet dinner, a four-hour premium open bar, and some of the best views for the waterfront fireworks. Celebrations last from 9 PM–1 AM. More information and tickets are available here. (211 S Columbus Blvd.)

Head to Old City’s Panorama where you can enjoy seating at 9 PM featuring a five-course menu and a sparkling toast with great views of the Penn’s Landing fireworks. (14 N Front St.; 215-922-7800)

If you feel like dancing the night away in Rittenhouse Square, head to Drinker’s Pub where $55 gets you an open bar from 9 PM–2 AM. Choose between two bars on two floors while the DJ spins all your favorite hits. Tickets and more information are available here. (1903 Chestnut St.; 215-564-0914)

Ring in 2016 at Finn McCool’s where DJ STY will be counting down to midnight. Enjoy a premium open bar from 9 PM–2 AM, light buffet bites, NYE party favors, and, of course, a midnight champagne toast. Tickets start at $59 and are available here. (118 S 12th St.; 215-923-3090)

If you’d rather not stay out all night, enjoy a decadent five-course meal at The Morris Hotel. Dinner is $75 per person and includes a champagne toast with dessert. Seatings are available at 5, 7, and 9 PM. View the menu for the evening and make reservations here. (231 S 8th St.; 215-625-6666)

It’s out with the old and in with the new at Perch Pub. Passed hors d’oeuvres, top shelf open bar, a champagne toast, and a balloon drop with party favors are all in store for this Center City celebration. Tickets are $65 each and are available here. (1345 Locust St.; 215-546-4090)

If you’re looking for a lowkey celebration, Bainbridge St Barrel House is where you want to be. This Queen Village bar isn’t doing anything crazy for NYE, but they will be offering a complimentary toast of Alesmith Decadence 2015 at midnight. (625-27 S 6th St.; 267-324-3553)
Ring in the new year just off South Street at Cav’s Headhouse. An open bar from 9 PM–1 AM, a New Year’s buffet, a midnight champagne toast, and more await at this rocking celebration. Tickets are available here for $65 each. (421 S 2nd St.; 215-928-9307)

If you’re not looking to spend too much, Cav’s Rittenhouse is throwing a party with no cover charge. Bring in the new year right with complimentary noisemakers and party hats along with a free champagne toast. (1823 Sansom St.; 215-665-9500)

Another cover-free party is happening at Garage. DJ Ronnie Bullets will be spinning rock, glam, punk, and more while Tullamore Dew specials flow. This party gets started at 8 PM and also includes a free champagne toast. (1231 E Passyunk; 215-278-2429)

Choose your own adventure at Time. Enjoy a four-course Cuban inspired menu in the Dining Room paired with live music by Ensemble Novo with Tom Moon from 6–9 PM and De Tierra Caliente from 10 PM–2 AM. Dinner is $55 per person, and reservations are required. The Whiskey Bar will feature its usual bar menu with a complimentary champagne toast, and if you feel like dancing, venture Upstairs where DJs Luke and Muhammad will be playing your favorite tunes. Upstairs will have a $10 cover after 10 PM. (1315 Sansom St.; 215-985-4800)

Spirit of Philadelphia
Start the new year with a splash aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia’s fireworks dinner cruise. You’ll have the best view of the fireworks as you enjoy a buffet dinner, a platinum open bar, dancing, and, yes, a champagne toast on the water. Talk about a unique way to cruise into 2016. Boarding is at 8:30 PM. Tickets and more information are available here. (401 S Columbus Blvd.; 866-455-3866)

If you’re looking to ring in the new year with style, head to Old City’s best rooftop lounge. Stratus is hosting a Midwinter Night’s Dream with music by Royale. Enjoy an open bar until 2 AM and breathtaking views of the city. Tickets and more information are available on Eventbrite. (433 Chestnut St.; 215-925-2889)
