Atlantic City Beer & Music Festival Announces Ticket Sales and 2016 Music Line-Up for April 8-9

by Erica Bauwens on Jan 28, 2016 in Event Listing

While brewers from across the globe are still signing up to join in what has become one of the biggest beer festivals on our Shores, the crew behind the Atlantic City Beer & Music Festival are psyching up attendees with a throwback-fueled music lineup that’s sure to rock the weekend.

The three-session weekend kicks off on Friday, April 8, with a performance by everyone’s favorite emo band, Dashboard Confessional. Best known for early 2000’s hits like “Vindicated,” “Hands Down”, and “Stolen,” the band stops by A.C. for the 8 PM to midnight session after wrapping up their most recent tour.

Saturday’s afternoon event features Manchester Orchestra, an Indie band that performs during the noon-4 PM block. The band will be performing fan favorites like “I Can Feel a Hot One” and “I’ve Got Friends” in anticipation of another festival later that month in their hometown of Atlanta.

Saturday wraps up with opening acts during the 6-10 PM sessions from the bands Solace and Backyard Superheroes. But the night wraps up with a full blown performance by Ska legends Reel Big Fish. Celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2016, Reel Big Fish lands at the Shore at the end of their anniversary tour and is expected to add hits to their set list like “Sell Out,” their cover of “Take on Me” and, of course, “Beer.”

Now in its 11th year, the A.C. Beer & Music Fest has transformed into a weekend that most beer lovers wouldn’t miss for the world. As of now almost 100 breweries-- including locals like Bolero Snort and Cape May Brewing and more distant brewers including Stone, Founders, and Lagunitas-- a dozen ciders, and imported beers from across the Earth are lined up to pour their brews, with more expected to join the lineup in time.

There is also a local, Atlantic City line-up of food to balance out the suds, including bites from Harry’s Oyster Bar, The Continental, and Vagabond Kitchen. VIP tickets get guests into the venue a half an hour before everyone, along with access to a VIP-only snack bar and a gift bag. As of now VIP and regular tickets are up for sale, and should only become a hotter commodity as the festival nears.
