Philadelphia Restaurants are Coming Together to Throw a Benefit for Bridget Foy's, November 15

After Bridget Foy's and its surrounding businesses were ravaged by a two-alarm fire in late October, the South Street Headhouse District, in partnership with Queen Village Neighborhood Association and area businesses, is throwing a benefit in the Headhouse Square shambles on Wednesday, November 15 from 6 PM - 9 PM.

The event will not only benefit Bridget Foy's, but Saved Me, Inc. animal rescue and the American Red Cross/Red Paws as well, in honor of the two dogs at a neighboring pet store that perished during the fire. Over 30 restaurants will provide food alongside beer, wine, and live music by Mikey Junior Band, all of which is included in the $50 ticket price (tickets may be purchased here).

Participating restaurants include staples from across the city, such as Amada, Fork & High Street on Market, Brauhaus Schmitz, Kanella South, The Little Lion, Pizzeria Stella, P'unk Burger, Village Whiskey, Time, and more, with George Reilly from The Twisted Tail spearheading the benefit.

Reilly said, "I live opposite Bridget Foy's and watching what happened that night was an awful and sobering experience, looking at it with industry eyes. It makes you realize that one small thing, one mistake, can turn life upside down and affect so many people in the process. Philadelphia has a close-knit restaurant community. We see each other, spend time at each other's establishments and that creates a respect and a bond that connects the city together. I am really happy to see the response of not only the neighborhood restaurants, but that of the larger community throughout the city, reaching out to express their want to help and participate in this benefit event."

Stop by this benefit to help out one of Philadelphia's favorite restaurant and sample dishes from its other famous eateries along the way — you won't want to miss out on an evening like this.
