Philadelphia Distilling's Enchanted Pop-Up Bar, The Betsy, Is Coming to a.bar, May 16-19
After hosting the first ever pop-up of The Betsy, a gorgeous, pastoral pop-up bar celebrating Bluecoat Elderflower Gin, Philadelphia Distilling is bringing the concept to Rittenhouse Square's a.bar for four days.
From Thursday, May 16 to Sunday, May 19, The Betsy will return with its signature Bluecoat cocktails, including the namesake cocktail, the Betsy Ross (Bluecoat Elderflower Gin, simple syrup, lemon juice and muddled strawberries) alongside other choices like the Elderflower Spritz (Bluecoat Elderflower Gin, clementine aperitif, blanc vermouth, sparkling cider, edible rose garnish), the Vesper (Bluecoat Elderflower Gin, blanc vermouth, a.vod vodka and edible snap dragon), and the Violette Negroni (Bluecoat Elderflower Gin, Americano vermouth, dry vermouth, violette liqueur and edible violets).
a.bar's head bartender Sean McGuire will also feature the elderflower gin in a few original cocktails of his own, including A Damn Good Cup of Tea (Earl Grey-infused Bluecoat Elderflower Gin with lemon, vanilla orgeat and ginger) and Good Morning Chief (Bluecoat Elderflower Gin, strawberry-honeysuckle Campari, sweet vermouth and gentian amaro).
The pop-up will take place during Rittenhouse's annual Spring Festival, so while you enjoy your cocktails, check out the wares or play outdoor games at a.kitchen, a.bar's sister restaurant. Whether you missed the Betsy last time or just want to try these exclusive cocktails in a new location, head to a.bar during the Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival and check out the specialty drinks, floral installations, and more.
