Saturday January 15
2nd Annual Battle Royal at The Institute
The Institute Bar
Saturday Jan 15: 2-8pm
This weekend, Spring Garden drinking establishment, The Institute will be hosting its 2nd Annual Battle Royal. Last year’s event, which featured breweries from Michigan including Bell’s and New Holland Brewing, was such a success that the bar has decided to invite five breweries from California this year. Stone, Sierra Nevada, Ballast Point, North Coast, and Bear Republic will be the five featured beers involved in the event. Though the specific beers that will be on tap have not been announced, there should be no doubt that they will be high quality after seeing the lineup of breweries. Everyone will get a scorecard to judge the beers in a few different categories which is precisely why it is called a Battle Royal. The event starts at 2 PM and runs all day. Spring Garden station is a few blocks away if you’re taking the subway but The Institute prides itself on being “the best bar in the middle of nowhere” so try not to get lost on your way there.
