Weekend Picks: March 24th - 27th

Thursday, March 24th 

Philadelphia Brewing Co. Free Beer Sampling

What: Free beer tasting
Where: The Bottle Shop, 1837 E. Passyunk Ave.
When: March 24th, 6-8pm

The Bottle Shop regularly hosts free beer samplings from some of the best craft breweries around. This Thursday at 6pm they are hosting Philadelphia Brewing Co. and some of their best beers, including seasonals.

Wells 4 Wells with Public House

What: Charity fundraiser for clean water in Africa
Where: Public House (2 Logan Square)
When: March 24th, 8pm-10pm.

Wells 4 Wells is an organization with a simple goal: host a happy hour in cities across America to raise money for clean water wells in Sub-Saharan Africa. Tonight, you can do so by buying into a $30 open bar, or paying a $5 cover and enjoying drink specials all night.

 

Friday, March 25th

Kokopelli Grand Opening

What: VIP Kokopelli grand opening with open bar and upscale menu
Where: Kokopelli Restaurant & Tequila Bar, 12th & Chestnut (Rittenhouse)
When: Friday, March 25th , 6pm-2am

To get on the guest list you must RSVP as early as possible. The event is free, but will go to capacity. Complimentary open bar is from 8-10pm with a sampling of their upscale menu, live music, and of course, more food and drink specials.

Saturday, March 26th 

Second Annual Oyster Schucking Contest 

What: Oysters and Beer!
Where: Oyster House, 15th & Sansom (Center City)
When: Saturday, March 26th 2-4pm

What’s better than Oysters and beer? This Saturday the Oyster House is hosting their second annual schucking competition, with both professional and amateur contests. All attendees get to eat the raw oysters from the competition for free. It’s $5 a person to join in, and they are tapping a firkin of Dogfish Head 75 minute IPA.  

 

Sunday, March 27th

Revolution Cider at Tria

What: Locally-produced hard cider at Tria, featuring the cider-masters themselves.
Where: Tria, both Washington West and Rittenhouse.
When: All day.
