Philadelphia Brewing Co. & WXPN Broadcast A New Beer
Kensington-based Philadelphia Brewing Co., just back from scoring two medals at the Great American Beer Festival, has partnered with alternative music radio station WXPN to produce a limited edition beer. World Cafe® Broadcaster Brown Ale honors the 20th anniversary of the nationally syndicated music program. The 5% ABV brew is a deep, ruby-brown pour, made with four different types of hops and five varieties of malts.
The special ale is now available on draft at several Philadelphia bars, and this week WXPN is hosting a Broadcaster Brown Ale tour. Each night from October 3–6, World Cafe host David Dye will make a showing at two different watering holes to act as guest DJ and guest bartender. Each event will feature giveaways of commemorative pint glasses, music CDs, downloads and more. Check out the full schedule below, and if you get a taste, let us know how it sings!
