Oktoberfest Beer Sampling

What: Oktoberfest Beer sampling
Where: The Bottle Shop, 1837 East Passyunk (South Philly)
When: 7–9 PM, Thursday, October 6
Price: Free

Oktoberfest beer samples from: Brooklyn, Flying Fish, Stoudt’s Stegmaier, Otter Creek, and Leinenkugel’s breweries will be available.

Drink Philly First Friday

Drink Philly is supporting local artistic talent, local brewers and local restaurants for First Friday! Come enjoy food and beer tastings and check out some great local art and music.

This month, The Farmers’ Cabinet will be serving mini Bavarian pretzel bites with a pear mustard, accompanies by their very own home brew

Absolutely no cover charge. (Valid ID is required, only 21+ will be admitted.)

The event goes from 5–9 PM on Friday, October 7, and you may come and go as you please. Please RSVP here ahead of time.

Ales for Tails Block Party

What: PSPCA Beer Fest Blockparty
Where: Hawthorne’s Beer Cafe, 11th & Fitzwater (South Philly)
When: 4–9 PM, Saturday, October 8
Price: $5 Cover (proceeds to the PSPCA), Pay as you go after ($5 a beer)

Hawthorne’s is throwing a block part to benefit the Philadelphia SPCA. Festivities include twenty beers on tap, food, and music. Come out to support a great cause and taste some delicious beer.

Brews for Boobies

Brews for Boobies is an annual pub crawl crusading through five different Philadelphia locations – Center City, Old City, South Philly, Northern Liberties, and Fairmount – with one goal in mind: raising raising awareness for breast cancer.

The next city wide pub crawl taking place is this Saturday from 12 PM–12 AM. A $25 entrance fee gets you: access to one of the five locations through multiple Philly establishments; a Brews for Boobies t-shirt; and access to drink and food specials at each bar. All proceeds are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Come down to meet the Cidermaster and enjoy the company of the Cider Minutemen while you sip on Revolution Cider paired with great food, including $2 cider braised boar belly tacos, apple crumble dessert and a surprise cider-themed dish.
