Thursday, October 13

Plate & Beer pairing

What: Beer and food pairing
Where: Village Belle, Front & Fitzwater (Queen Village)
When: 7–10 PM, Thursday, October 13
Price: $11 per plate with 7 options

Village Bell and Yard’s brewing are teaming up to bring you seven different dishes paired with your favorite Yard’s beers. Make reservations on Open Table here.

MidAtlantic firkin tapping

What: Weyerbacher imperial pumpkin beer with food
Where: MidAtlantic Restaurant & Taproom, 37th & Market (University City)
When:  5 PM, Thursday, October 13
Price: Pay as you go

MidAtlantic is tapping a firkin of the popular Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale, and will also be serving $3 pumpkin inspired appetizers.


Friday, October 14

Flying Dog Brewing Beer Sampling

What: Beer sampling
Where: Bell’s Beverage, 2809 S. Front St. (South Philly)
When: 4–6 PM, Friday, October 14
Price: Free

Beer from Flying Dog Brewing will be showcased in Bell’s Beverage’s weekly beer sampling.


Saturday, October 15

SmorgasBeer’d

What: Swedish Food and Beer pairing
Where: American Swedish Historical Museum, 1900 Pattison Ave. (South Philly)
When: 4–7 PM, Saturday, October 15
Price: $25

The event will be hosted by representatives from Yards, Triumph Brewing, The Bottle Shop, and McKenzie brewing. They will be talking about their various styles of beers which will be paired with Swedish fare.

Bloktoberfest

What: Oktoberfest Block Party
Where: South St. between Broad and 17th
When: 12–8 PM, Saturday, October 15
Price: Free to attend, pay as you go for beer/food/merchandise

The festivities this year span three blocks with Bella Vista Distributors catering to all of you beer needs. The event is all ages, free to attend with and, of course, 21+ to drink.


Sunday, October 16

Pumpkin Smash

What: Pumpkin style beer party
Where: City Tap House, 40th & Walnut (University City)
When: 1–5 PM, Sunday, October 16
Price: $5 entrance donation, pay as you go

This Sunday is City Tap House’s “Pumpkin Smash”, which will feature a variety of pumpkin style beers, food, a pumpkin eating contest, raffles, live music, and more. $4 Dogfish Head drafts and $5 seasonal specialty cocktails will be available. The event is also in support of “Back on my Feet”: an organization devoted to helping out the homeless community in Philadelphia.
