July 4th is obviously an important date in United States and Philadelphia history. What better way to celebrate the anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence than a few drinks in the birthplace of the nation?


July 2nd

Chinatown Block Party

Where: 10th St. between Arch & Race Sts. 
When:12-4pm
What: Outdoor retail and food vendors, with live musical performances!

Mountain Getaway at Biba

Where: Biba Wine Bar
When: 3pm-12am
What: Specially priced wine, cheese, and beer all day!

Fireworks at Independence Seaport Museum

Where: 211 S. Columbus Blvd. & Walnut St.
When: 6:30-10pm
What: Food, fun, libations, and fireworks at the Seaport Museum!

"World's Best Burger" at Village Belle

Where: Village Belle
When: 5pm-late
What: $8 for what the London Observer dubbed the "world's best burger" as well as a live DJ
 


July 3rd

Beer Garden BBQ at City Tap House

Where: City Tap House
When: 3-7pm
What: City Tap house is firing up their 6-foot grill for burgers and a summertime menu! Their outdoor terrace will be open so you can enjoy the gorgeous day!

Big Rich's Independence Day Party

Where: Varga Bar
When: 9pm-2am
What: 1/2 priced drafts, whiskey specials, and DJ Decybals spinning all night

The Roots Present Philly’s Fourth of July Jam at the TLA

Where: The Theatre of Living Arts (3rd and South)
When: 7pm
What: Musical performances featuring Dom Kennedy, Casey Veggies and more!

Fourth of July Big Bang Barbecue at Chaddsford Winery

Where: Chaddsford Winery
When: 12-6pm, July 2nd-4th
What: $10 wine tastings, live music, and barbeque at the winery!

Parade in Historic Philadelphia

Where: Old City on Market Street
When: 11am-1pm
What: Join us as we celebrate not only the 4th of July and our Independence, but the rich history of Philadelphia's Old City! Free admission.

Dogfish Hellhound On My Ale Tapping

Where: Tria Washington Square West
When: 3pm
What: $8.50 for a 10 oz. glass for the Robert Johnson-inspired ale! You can read about it here.

Party on the Parkway Festival

Where: Benjamin Franklin Parkway (20th and Eakins Oval)
When: 12-7pm
What: A festival will take place on Ben Franklin Parkway before the fireworks and concerts. Totally free!

Fourth of July Jam and Grand Finale Fireworks

Where: Benjamin Franklin Parkway between 18th & 23rd Streets
When: 8:30pm
What: Headlined by The Roots, live performances will take place on the Art Museum steps! Also featured are Jazzy Jeff, Michael McDonald and others. Fireworks will begin at 10:30pm. Free!

4th of July Party at Cavanaugh’s

Where: Cavanaugh's Rittenhouse
When: 6-10pm
What: Enjoy a $20 domestic draft open bar, tailgate buffet, and the Phillies on TV!
