8/27: Battle of the Canvas - Live Painting Competition & Concert
On August 27th from noon to 10pm, come down to the Piazza at Schmidts to watch a live painting competition!
Dozens of artists will gather around to show off their skills, all competing for a $500 grand prize. The event is completely free for guests who wish to attend and watch the artists at work. Sorry artists, but registration has closed for participants!
They're expecting close to 4000 people at this event, and there will be plenty of vendors around to keep you busy while you browse the art-in-the-making. Plus, live music is scheduled throughout the day with around a dozen bands. Bands and performances include Dosage, Chill Moody, Sela, Mazon, Lyrical God, Out the Basement Band, Nonstop to Cairo and more! There is no charge whatsoever to attend and watch the artists at work.
In addition to all the other excitement, several of the bars at the Piazza will have outdoor seating where you can relax and enjoy a beer or delicious (adult) shake.
