Brahaus’ third annual Cologne Karneval celebration comes to an end this Thursday and they are sending it off with Kolsch food and beer specials; a raffle for a free kegerator (with furnishings); and a $50 gift certificate for best costume.


Friday, February 17

Great Guinness Toast

What: Global Guinness Toast
Where: Fado Irish Pub, 15th & Locust (Center City) and Kildare’s Manayunk, Gay & Main (Manayunk)
When: 7 PM at Fado and 11 PM at Kildare's, Friday, February 17
Price: PAYG

Every year Guinness lovers all over the world join together for the world’s largest, unofficial, simultaneous toast. In any case, it’s a grand excuse to have a couple pints. At Kildare's, the toast is at 11 PM but you can grab a Guinness for $4 or a car bomb for $5 from 6–8 PM.


Saturday, February 18

3rd Annual PYP

What: Pig roast with Yards brewing
Where: The Institute, 12th & Green (Fairmont)
When: 2–6 PM, Saturday,  February 18
Price: $40

Who could resist a Yards tap takeover and pig roast? The four hour event starts at 2 PM on Saturday. $40 gets you unlimited food and drinks until 6 PM.


Sunday, February 19

President’s Day Weekend with Yards Brewing

What: President’s Day beer tasting
Where: Old Eagle Tavern, Markle & Terrace (Manayunk)
When: 5–8 PM, Sunday, February 19
Price: PAYG

Old Eagle Tavern will be hosting a President’s Day Weekend beer tasting this Sunday with Ales of the Revolution. On tap will be: George Washington Porter (7%), Thomas Jefferson Tavern Ale (8%), Poor Richard’s Tavern Spruce Ale (5%) and Yard’s Old Bart (10.3). The tasting starts at 5 PM with $1 off Yards drafts and delicious food from the kitchen, like Poor Richard marinated Portabello sandwiches and Thomas Jefferson Ale honey glazed chicken.
