Dogfish Head & Dollar Dog Night
What: Beer event featuring Dogfish Head

Seven Dogfish Head beers will be on tap including 60 and 90 minute IPAs, as well as almost a dozen more beers available in bottle.

Featured beers are brewed with Brettanomyces, referred to as ‘Brett’ yeast strains--characterized by a sour flavor. The brunch includes: Russian River Conscecration, Lost Abbey Red Poppy, Oude Beersel Framboise, Jolly Pumpkin Oro De Calabaza, Rodenbach Classic and two collaboration beers from Allagash and Sly Fox.

What: Beer tasting featuring IPAs and Scotch Ales

Bar patrons can taste a variety between malty scotch ales and hoppy IPAs. Scotch Ales featured are: Oska Blues Old Chub, Brouwkot Vlaskapelle, Belvhaven Wee Heavy, Bear Republic Heritage, Brasserie D’achouffe McChouffe and Founders dirty bastard.
Featured IPAs will be: Founders Devil Dancer, Russian River Blind Pig, Avery Maharaja, Flying Dog Contennial Single Hop Imperial IPA, Cask Bear Republic Racer 5, Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel Corne Du Diable, Ballast Point Even Keel, Russian River Pliny the Elder and Cask Blue Point No Apologies Imperial IPA.
Sunday, August 21st
Philadelphia Caribbean Festival
The 25th Philadelphia Caribbean Festival takes place this Sunday at the Great Plaza at Penn’s landing (Great Plaza at Penn's Landing, Columbus Boulevard at Market Street), running from 2-8pm. Featured attractions are live reggae, roots, hip-hop and gospel music, arts and crafts exhibits and poetry. There will be multiple vendors throughout Penn’s Landing celebrating the rich culture of the Caribbean Islands, including a variety of native foods. Prices vary if you wish to purchase food or other merchandise from vendors, the event itself is absolutely free to attend.
