Brews, Blues and Barbecue at the Electric Factory, Saturday, Sept 17
Nothing sets the mood for a day of tasting numerous craft beers and a variety of barbecue than great, down home blues, and that’s what’s in store at the Electric Factory on Saturday, September 17. Brews, Blues & BBQ showcases over 70 breweries from around the country, each pouring a couple of their best creations. Far flung outfits like San Francisco’s 21st Amendment (Hell or High Watermelon, Back in Black IPA) and Illinois’ Wild Onion Brewing Co. (Pumpkin Ale, Paddy’s Pale Ale) will be back-to-back with local favorites Victory (Octoberfest, Headwaters Pale Ale) and Yards (Philly Pale Ale, General Washington Tavern Porter). There will even been a few snappy ciders on tap.

$45 scores you admission to your choice of the early (1-5 PM) or late (6-10 PM) sessions, including all the ale you can handle and plenty of great grilled bites. Over 15 barbecue masters from area ‘cue institutions like the Khyber Pass Pub and El Camino Real will be competing for top honors in three classic categories: brisket, chicken and ribs. Your vote counts, so make sure to sample everything. (Our suggestion? Take notes on the frost of your beer glass.)

There will be plenty of fun swag like unique t-shirts, mugs, pint glasses and more available for purchase, including at the Drink Philly table. The event has limited space, so get your tickets now, we expect to see you there!
