Merry merry happy happy! Whether you’re headed out with the family for a no-mess holiday dinner or just need a break from the crush of random relatives and torn wrapping, there are several bars and restaurants open and ready to serve. Check our list (we already checked it twice) and enjoy your holiday with a drink in hand.
10 Arts: Open 7 AM–midnight serving á la carte menu all day and four-course tasting menu from 2–8 PM ($110, $55 for kids under 12).
American Sardine Bar: open 6 PM–2 AM (kitchen closes at 1 AM).
Bridget Foy’s: Open 3–8 PM serving special holiday menu.
Buddakan: Open 4–9 PM.
Cavanaugh’s Head House: Open 8 PM–2 AM.
Cavanaugh's Rittenhouse: Open 7:30 PM–2 AM.
Chart House: Open 11 AM–9 PM.
Chez Colette: Open 2–8 PM serving a 5-course prix fixe menu ($64).
The El Bar: Open at noon.
Irish Pub: Open 4 PM–2 AM.
Khyber Pass Pub: Open 5 PM–2 AM.
McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood: Open 11 AM–9 PM.
New Wave Cafe: Open 6 PM–2 AM for drinks only.
Parc: Open 10 AM–8 PM.
The Plough & the Stars: Open 11:30–2 AM with a holiday menu being served 12–8:15 PM.
R2L Restaurant & Lounge: Open 3–7 PM serving a Christmas Day supper with dessert buffet ($65, $30 children 12 and under).
Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse: Open 12–9 PM serving both holiday specials and the regular menu.
SoleFood: Open 5:30–10 PM serving a 3-course prix fixe menu ($36, $10 for children)
South Philadelphia Tap Room: Open 6 PM–2 AM (kitchen closes at 1 AM).
Tavern 17: Open 12–8 PM serving a 3-course menu ($35, $16.95 children ages 3-10).
