Russian River’s Pliny the Elder has been honored as the best commercial beer in America by the American Homebrewers Association five years running. However, Pliny the Elder is a double IPA that lumbers in at 8% ABV and 100 IBUs. It’s friendlier cousin, Blind Pig, clocks in at 6.1% ABV and hits a sweet spot of 70 IBUs while still striking mesmerizing piney and citrus chords. Which all means you can drink more of it, another reason we’re calling it tops.
