Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery: The old General Lafayette Inn in Lafayette Hill has undergone extensive renovations to reopen as Barren Hill. Owned by Erin Wallace, it is a sister bar to Manayunk’s Old Eagle Tavern and Philly’s Devil’s Den. Head Brewer Scott Morrisson (formerly of Dock Street) brews a wide-range of beer both pedestrian and far-out from the in-house brewery.(646 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill; 215 483-5535)
