Where to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2019 in Philadelphia
Spring is almost here, and with that comes the blooming of foliage, birds chirping, sunny skies, and one of the biggest drinking holidays of the year! Put on your lucky t-shirt, get your green socks out of storage, and pick a clover to tuck behind your ear, because these are the best events and drink specials going on for St. Patrick’s Day 2019 in Philadelphia.
 
St. Patrick's Day Celebrations
Saturday, March 9, Sunday, March 10, Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17 
Visit this Center City Celtic bar for the next two weekends for authentic Irish fun. They’ll be open at 7:30 AM both weekends for Premier League Soccer and 6 Nations Rugby. Enjoy live music each day starting at 2:30 PM and Irish food all day long. Saturday, March 16 will be the only day with a cover $5 from 12 PM-4 PM and $10 after 4 PM.  (1500 Locust St.)
 
Monday, March 11, 10 PM-2 AM
Join Teeling Whiskey at this Center City jazz bar for drink specials, live music, and of course lots of genuine Irish whiskey on Monday, March 11.
 
Monday, March 11 through Sunday, March 17
Enjoy Irish Whiskey specials all week at this Jose Garces spot. Try a flight of Teeling Single Malt Whiskey, Kilbeggan Rye, and New Liberty's Brothership Whiskey for just $28 or a featured cocktail for $13 including the Restoration (Teeling Single Malt, blood orange juice, Punt e Mes vermouth, pecan & date orgeat).
 
Thursday, March 14, 7 PM-10 PM
Celebrate the legacy of Irish whiskey in the United States with Drink Philly and Teeling Whiskey. This upscale cocktail party will take place at Rittenhouse Square’s Ethical Society and $50 tickets include Teeling whiskey cocktails from some of Philly’s best bartenders. Saturday, March 16
Sample 170+ beers at this St. Paddy’s Day themed beer festival. The festival will feature 75+ breweries, food trucks, live music, games, and of course green beer. General admission tickets are $45 and get you unlimited samples from 2 PM-6 PM. VIP tickets are $60 and include an extra hour of tasting, private bathrooms, a complimentary soft pretzel and water bottle, and private seating areas. Purchase tickets here. (1100 Pattison Ave.)  
 
Sunday, March 17
Get down with the Geator this St.Patrick’s Day at this Center City sports club. The party foes from 12 PM-10 PM, with Jerry Blavat DJing from 3 PM-8 PM. Donations will be made to support breast cancer from every Carlsberg or Tito’s beverage purchase. $10 cover at the door from 2 PM-8 PM. (111 S 17th St.)
 
St.Patrick's Day Food and Drink Specials
Sunday, March 17
Throw on your best green outfit and celebrate all things Irish at McGillins. They’ll be open an hour early, at 10 AM, on the big day serving up green beer and Irish potato martinis. They also currently have Irish food specials like bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage available on their menu until March 16. $5 cover. (1310 Drury St.)
 
Sunday, March 17 
Head to Fairmount for a giant block party on North 17th Street from 10 AM-8 PM. Expect lots of drink specials like $3 Irish flag Jell-O shots and $4 Miller Lite pounders, live Irish dance performances, bands, special brunch and dinner menus and more. (1701 Green St.)
 
Sunday, March 17
Lace up your green sneakers and get your tickets to Evil Genius’ .5k walk. The run/walk around the block kicks off at 1 PM and $30 tickets will get you two draft beers, a Paddy’s Day hat and other gifts. Proceeds will benefit the Fishtown Neighbors Association. Purchase tickets here.
